Panorama is an on-device spherical-panorama camera for iPhone. Capture a scene,
look around it by moving your phone, and share it — all locally, with nothing sent to a
server.
Need help, or found a bug?
Email wispier_halls_8g@icloud.com and
describe what happened — the more specific, the faster it gets fixed. If a particular scan
rendered badly, open it in the Library, tap the ⋯ menu, and choose Export diagnostic
bundle… to send along the raw capture data. It's only useful for troubleshooting and
goes straight to the email above, nowhere else.
Common questions
- Does Panorama need an internet connection?
- No. Capturing, stitching, storing, and viewing all happen entirely on your iPhone.
You can use Panorama in airplane mode.
- Why does the shared photo look like a stretched, distorted strip?
- That's the raw equirectangular projection — the standard format for a 360° photo, and
completely normal. It becomes an interactive sphere you can look around in apps that
understand 360 photos, like Google Photos or Facebook. In Apple's own Photos app it just
displays as that wide strip.
- Why does Panorama ask for Camera, Motion, and Location access?
- Camera captures the images that make up the panorama. Motion tracks where you're
pointing the phone, both while capturing and while looking around a saved panorama
afterward. Location (optional) tags a panorama with where it was taken, stored only in the
image's own metadata on your device. None of it is ever transmitted anywhere — see the
Privacy Policy for the full detail.
- I deleted a panorama by accident — is it recoverable?
- Unfortunately no. Panorama has no cloud backup by design, so deleting a panorama in the
app removes it from your device for good. If you'd shared or saved a copy elsewhere
(Photos, Files, AirDrop) beforehand, that copy is unaffected.
