Privacy Policy

Panorama is built on a simple idea: your panoramas are yours. The app captures, stitches, stores, and shares everything on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, and no analytics — so there is no data for us to collect, sell, or lose.

The short version

We collect nothing. Panorama has no backend. Your data never reaches us, because there is no "us" on the other end of a network connection.
Everything stays on your iPhone unless you choose to share a panorama.
No accounts. No tracking. No advertising. No third-party analytics or SDKs.

What the app uses, and why

Panorama asks for a few system permissions purely to do its job. Each is used on your device only:

Camera — to capture the photos that make up a spherical panorama. Captured imagery is processed and stitched on your device and saved into the app's private storage. It is never uploaded.
Motion & orientation — to track where you're pointing the phone while capturing, and to let you look around saved panoramas by moving your device. This data is used in the moment and not recorded or transmitted.
Location (while using the app, optional) — if you allow it, Panorama tags a panorama with where you captured it, so you can remember the place. The coordinate is stored on your device in the panorama's metadata and embedded into the image file's GPS information. It is never sent to us.
Photos / Files — saved panoramas live in the app's own storage. Saving to your photo library or files happens only when you ask for it.

Data we collect

None. Panorama does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data. It contains no analytics, no advertising identifiers, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs that would do so on its behalf.

Sharing a panorama (and location in shared images)

When you tap Share, Panorama hands the panorama image to iOS's standard share sheet, and you choose where it goes (AirDrop, Messages, Photos, Files, another app, etc.). At that point the image leaves your device because you sent it — Panorama is not involved in the destination.

If a panorama is geotagged, that location travels inside the shared image file as standard GPS metadata, exactly as photos from the Camera app do. Panorama's Settings tab includes a "Strip location when sharing" option if you'd rather leave it out of what you share; you can also remove location per-share from the Photos app (Options → Location).

Children's privacy

Panorama collects no personal information from anyone, including children. The app is not directed at children and contains no accounts, messaging, or data collection.

Security

Because your panoramas and their metadata never leave your device (unless you share them), they are protected by your iPhone's own security and your device passcode/biometrics. There is no remote database that could be breached.

Changes to this policy

If the app's behavior ever changes in a way that affects this policy, we'll update this page and revise the effective date above. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
